Hi! Just thought I’d drop you a line to let you know how much your writings have been inspiring me to make writing more of a priority. Writing used to be my therapy, and somewhere along the road of life, I lost sight of it. I’d like to do it on here, but there are a few people that know me personally and follow me on here and I just don’t feel comfortable enough to expose that side of me to them. So for now, my pen and journal will have to do.
Who? Me? Oh, stop it.
Seriously though, thank you for such a vote of confidence. I highly encourage you to maybe set up an anonymous blog profile here on Tumblr or through another platform, because there is a sense of reward gained in receiving feedback on what you expose. Not all of it is good; I get hateful asks from time to time, but nonetheless, I still press forward because it really says more about them than it does me.
Maybe check out Medium.com. I keep mentioning it here and people may be wondering, WTF? Although I cannot predict the future, I see that as having the most potential to be my landing site in the long-term future, though I will always provide old content and some new content for free, in some ways. I will probably post all new writings there and then wait a few days to a week to reblog it out because it is a subscription site, but unlike Patreon, you get access to thousands of very top-quality writers in every genre you can think of. I don’t get a dime if you don’t read my stuff, which is fine. It forces people there to improve as writers, and as a result, the community of Medium writers tends to be far more talented than other platforms. Any dickhead can write on Tumblr; that is not the case on Medium. I say, give it a whirl.
Best luck to you,
