How are your erotica projects and other things coming along? I know you mentioned other sites, a book, and it seems like you want to write more in other places too. What about fet? You won't leave tumblr will you?
Hey, thanks for asking. I am currently working on two things for publication on Amazon.
First, a book of the majority of the writings, edited and redone in some cases. A friend from here made a good point – some of my earlier posts I look back and think – “wtf was I even talking about?” Most of those never get reblogged or have been deleted, mainly because they were just me developing, but there are some in TRD I’d not feel comfortable making its way to print or Kindle.
As that one is completed, I’ll dedicate free time to a novel, which I have the chapters roughly outlined. Learning how to write a novel is a task in itself I have found, but if done right, I should be able to knock it out in less a month.
I researched this a few weeks ago and got my thoughts down at the high-level in chapter/outline format. I am excited about this project the most, for personal reasons.
Right now I am spending more time on Tumblr than I had in the past few months, in part because I just need to write because it is how I express, and in part because when I do release these, I’d like some people to actually read them, so I am hoping I’ll have a larger following by the time I release something.
Personally, I doubt that the #writings book will actually have many people buying it, which is fine. You can get the content here for free and I know that. It is more to just go through the process of publishing and have something out there that is permanent.
My goal in a year from now is about 75-100K readers here and probably more elsewhere through other outlets. The more posts I write here, the faster that growth happens. If it is just reblogs, I’ll dip quite a bit and the dedicated followers will lose interest, so I need to give them a reason to come back, hence me wanting to write a new piece or two every day. Besides, at the end of the day this is a place of expression for me – my assface albatross, so to speak.
Regarding the other media outlets, WordPress, Medium, and Patreon will have my content in some way, shape, or form over the long haul. I am less concerned about those platforms until the first book is out though. One project at a time. A few new posts a day and porting content to various other outlets is the plan. I don’t expect to see anything tangible for awhile.
