This comment for some reason struck me pretty hard. First of all, thank you. Seems only right to start off saying that. But even more so, thank you for a memory you caused, unintentionally, about a person close to me who was an exceptional writer. His writings taught me to just speak your mind, in your verbal voice, but in a written format. I think people connect to that more.
Just hearing you communicate with the same words you would use in their presence. Far too often people try and impress their audience with a big vocabulary and lose them in the process.
Anyone can Google a fancy word. It doesn’t make you a good writer to use a wide array of words. You become a good writer when people actually read your words. That is my opinion, at least.
