Well, it depends on a lot of things, like language barriers and the country you are in, but I just suggest getting out and making friends closely tied to interests that you already have.
For example, if you are a church person, get more involved. If you are a mom, join a community mom’s group. If you are a military wife, find other military wives and pair up with them.
Set aside a night where it is just you girls.
If you enjoy art, or sports, or anything at all that you have tabled as an interest, see if there is a community for it and go join. All you really need is a “way” to connect with somebody – and then you will be in their friend group. When I moved out of state when I was younger, I met one buddy, and before I knew it I had 8 guys that I was tight with. The same thing with work – if you work, or work part-time, then use that as a means to make some friends.
You are going to be the one who has to make that first step though.
